Here, we'll show how generic and powerful the Blender animation system is.

Shortcut changes in Blender 4.1

In the video below the I key is used to insert keyframes from the Insert Keyframe Menu in the 3D viewport. However, starting with Blender 4.1 the meaning of the I key when used in the 3D viewport changed to insert the default key channels directly. The default key channels can be configured under Preferences > Animation > Keyframes > Default Key Channels.

To get the behaviour of bringing up the Insert Keyframe Menu in the 3D viewport use the K key instead.
